There are over 25 local bus services operating in Pembrokeshire, nearly all of which are subsidised by the Council. Passenger numbers on bus services in Pembrokeshire and throughout Wales fell significantly during the COVID pandemic and are still below previous levels on most services. The Council and the Welsh Government provided emergency funding to keep bus services going during this period.

We are now planning Pembrokeshire’s bus network for 2024 and beyond, and all bus services are being retendered. Funding pressures and increasing costs mean that it may not be possible for the Council to keep funding all bus services in the same way in the future.

We would like your views on the way that we plan to make decisions about which routes and options to fund, in order to deliver the best overall bus network in Pembrokeshire within the constraints of the budget available.
