Consultation has concluded

The Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021 created the framework for a consistent mechanism for regional collaboration between local government authorities, namely Corporate Joint Committees (CJCs). CJC’s will exercise functions relating to strategic development planning and regional transport planning. They will also be able to do things to promote the economic well-being of their areas.

The South West Wales CJC comprises Carmarthenshire County Council, the City and County of Swansea Council, Pembrokeshire County Council and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. In respect of some development planning functions, both Pembrokeshire National Park and Brecon Beacons National Park are also members.

The South West Wales CJC is publishing its Draft Corporate Plan 2023-2028 for a six week consultation period.

The Consultation period is: Thursday 26 January 2023 00:00 to Wednesday March 8 2023 23:59.
