Pembrokeshire County Council is currently facing its biggest financial challenge to date and like other council services, the Library Service is required to reduce its running costs to assist in the effort to deliver a balanced budget.
We believe we can reduce our running costs at Milford Haven Library, with as minimal impact as possible on you, by removing our quietest opening hours across the week. In order to make the necessary savings, we need to reduce opening times by 8 hours a week.
We know that Wednesday and Friday afternoons, together with 5-6pm on Thursdays, are our quietest times. We are therefore proposing that the Library closes at 1.30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays and at 5pm on Thursdays. We think this will have less impact on you than if we were to close at other times in the week or on a Saturday.
We would like to know if you agree or disagree with this.
