The Pembrokeshire County Council Employee Volunteering Scheme allows all PCC staff to take up to 22.2 hours (pro rata) paid volunteering leave at local voluntary organisations. It can be done in person or remotely and there is a huge variety of voluntary opportunities available.
PCC have brought in this initiative to help enable those who want to volunteer in the local community and to support worthwhile local causes. Volunteering has been shown to improve staff happiness, productivity, and retention, as well as teaching staff new skills that they can bring into the organisation.
The aim of this survey is to collect information on the questions and concerns of managers, team leaders and head of departments. The data collected from this survey will help to make the scheme accessible to all, without disrupting the important services that PCC provides.
